The Mystery Machine crew will be hosting an open mic / acoustic jam at Quincey's Pub on Friday, July 31st from 8pm to closing. Yeah, I know we don't normally do these types of things on a Friday because the musicians have other commitments, but this is a special occasion. One of the very first trocks members (nope, I'm not giving out names) has decided they have done their part for "the man" long enough and is retiring. That Friday afternoon, they will walk out of their last day as a real full-time member of the working force and that evening walk into Quincey's to party their ever-lovin' ass off. And, that, to me, is more than enough reason for everyone not otherwise engaged for the evening to get off their couches and get out for the fun.
We will have the back line and Scott will have his percussion there. You just need to bring your axe, sax and/or vox out to join in the playing. Or, if you don't do the stage thing, come out and cheer on those who do and help build the party to the frenzy it rightfully deserves to be. There will be no cover charge for the evening so you can devote even more of your hard earned dollars towards your personal "enjoyment" of the event. I look forward to seeing everyone there.
