Joey did a brief stint as our drummer in The Sweetbaby Arms back in the day. We did one song that he wrote and played guitar on and it was one of my personal favorites. I'm looking foward to seeing what he's been working on lately. I know he's been jamming with Smitty ... (That's your cue to chime in, Smitty)

Well, after a lot of ups and downs and some craziness, I'm actually going to make this show. I'm going to be pretty brain frazzled when I get there, but I'm gonna get there. Even though Joey and I didn't get a chance to pull together the full band thing we had first aimed for, we think we are going to be able to provide an interesting musical journey for those willing to come out and give us a shot. Joey's songwriting mixes '60s folk and psychedelic rock with '90s jam band rock and I've got my weird ambient jazz bass lines. When we mix them together . . . well . . . hell, I ain't gotta clue what to call it--folks will just have to come out and hear for themselves.

The club doesn't open until 7pm so Joey and I are hoping to be setup and ready to go by 8pm. If we have folks already there for some music by that point, then we will just start things up early and go for it.

I was told the "regular crowd" won't get there until between 10-11pm and they stay to shut the place down. Yeah, this one is going to hurt a good bit the next day. Since some of the senior staff are at school this week, I have to open the office each morning at 6:30am. I'll have to pull a Rich Walker--but I have no where near his constitution.

And I just found out that my boss took pity on me--that, or she got tired of my groveling--and I get to move my off day from tomorrow to Friday this week. So, assuming I'm not run off the stage much sooner, I can shut the place down.

How are you ever going to "condition" yourself like that?

I've had some suggestions on how to up the entertainment value of this show. Before I can seriously consider these things, I need to know some details about the club:

1) What type of fire protection/suppression systems do you have in place; and
2) What are your exact rules concerning nudity?
