Mystery Machine @ Players - 11/21

Postby SmittyG on Sat Nov 15, 2008 8:54 pm

This coming Friday (Nov 21), I will have the pleasure of once again joining Scott Lent and Jeff Green for a show. Mystery Machine takes the stage at Players to present their special brand of Estrogen-Free Rock. We had a great time when we played there last and I'm expecting the same to happen again. The music should kick off around 8pm. If you get a chance, please stop by and join the fun.

Do they still sell food there and if so do they have potato soup?

While I can't absolutely state for sure on this, when we played there last, I saw no one in the audience eat anything, not even snacky finger foods (or potato soup), and saw no cook staff. Maybe someone who goes more often to the place can share their knowledge.

Asked around a bit and was told that they do offer some snack/finger food type items, but not much. Not a full dinner menu of any kind.

Thanks, we haven't flown in many years and hear that the wait is terrible for security reasons. The last time I flew it was in this old German plane but I can't remember the Fokker's name. We have some people staying at the house for us, the last time we left someone ripped off our company sign and slit a tire on one of our company trucks while it was sitting in our drive. I'm pretty sure it wasn't one of our customers....

Should have time to swing through before I have to head to Skyward

I'm glad there aren't a bunch of people out there that share your diet. Imagine the pork belly futures...

Pork belly has always been in my future, along w/ multiple chins.

I would like to add my up front thanks for Roj agreeing to take care of the sound for us this weekend. It really makes playing a lot easier when you know you are going to sound great out front. Well, at least tone-wise; there is only so much Roj can do for me from a mixing board. :)

And, by the way, even though Lent is trying his best to pretend he doesn't see these threads, I give you my word that he is indeed in the band, will be on stage this weekend, and will most likely be having one helluva good time.
